Maison Perigord is a beautiful traditional French house nestling on the side of a pretty village 7km from the medieval town of Sarlat-le-Canada. The house is set on a gentle hillside and sits on three stories. It sleeps 8 people (there is also a cot for a baby) and is furnished to a high standard in a comfortable country style. There are two double rooms, two twin rooms and three bathrooms. The house has a fully equipped kitchen, spacious sitting room, games room with table tennis table and a private pool.

Situated in the beautiful and unspoilt region of the Dordogne in south west France, Maison Perigord, with its private pool and southern climate is ideal for families and groups of friends in search of a truly memorable holiday. The region is steeped in romantic history and is a gourmet’s paradise.

Outside, there is ample parking at the front of the house as well as three covered parking bays to keep the car cool. On the garden side, the sun terrace runs along the house and is perfect for al fresco eating. The house also boasts a large fenced swimming pool with an additional large sun terrace with sun loungers as well as a beautiful view over the countryside. There are also plenty of activities for all ages and energy levels! Enjoy exploring the numerous historical and breathtaking fairytale chateaux or visit the ancient troglodyte caves nearby. Hire a kayak and meander at a leisurely pace down the River Dordogne for a picnic or take time to browse for antiques in Sarlat.

Evenings are easily wiled away on the terrace enjoying drinks at sunset or sampling local cuisine in any of Sarlat’s numerous restaurants. The Perigord region’s gourmet reputation is not unearned. The restaurants will offer you truffles, asparagus, fois gras and walnut produce at amazingly reasonable prices. Wine connoisseurs will find they are not far from the delights of Bordeaux and the famous villages of Nuit Saint Georges and St Emillion.

Sarlat-Le-Canada hosts a local market on Saturdays and Wednesdays. The cobbled streets are filled with stalls overflowing with local produce – meats, cheeses, fois gras, vegetables, fruit, olives, walnut oils and cakes, honey and wines.

Maison Perigord is a delightful French country farmhouse that provides the ideal base for sightseeing and sporting activities such as cycling through the beautiful countryside. It is also perfect for leisurely sampling the gourmet delights of the region, or simply relaxing on the magnificent terrace and swimming in your large private pool (12x6m).
